In the running for quite possibly the most scenic restaurant in Italy, Locanda dell’Isola Comacina is a family run restaurant set on the only island within Lake Como. The restaurant has been serving the same six course set menu since 1947 (think simple, seasonal Italian) and is well worth a day trip from Milan to explore the small island, chat with the owner and chief showman, Benvenuto, and to have lunch perched over Lake Como.
